Welcome to our Podcast, “The Financial Fundamentals Show,” available on iTunes, Spotify, Radio Public, iHeartRadio and more. What is the inspiration for the show? We saw a void in the Podcast space, and wanted to educate and entertain retirees and pre-retirees while addressing key financial issues that directly affect them and their retirement. We talk about everything from not outliving your income, current financial topics and challenges to your portfolio and how to avoid them.

Alec Tuckman Bio

Alec P. Tuckman is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary®, Chartered Financial Consultant® and Certified Retirement Counselor®. He is the founder and CEO of Wealth Management Partners of Los Angeles, Inc.

BACKGROUND. Mr. Tuckman is an Author, Speaker, Educator, Wealth Advisor and Podcast Personality.

He is a graduate of The University of Wisconsin, Madison and The American College of Financial Services. Mr. Tuckman has been investing since he was 18 and comes from a long line of financial professionals. He is the son of two award winning economists, the brother of an equities trader, the husband of a mortgage banker and the grandson of an entrepreneur who ran a successful business and foundation. Tuckman has been brought up on table discussions his entire life on the “dos and don’ts” of investing and economic principles.

WORK HISTORY. Mr. Tuckman started his career in 1994 working in the Asset Management Department at Goldman Sachs. Mr. Tuckman has worked in a variety of positions in the financial industry and came from a rigorous training program at Searchlight Financial where he was groomed by a 40 year veteran in the industry. He recently co-authored a book with entrepreneur Kevin Harrington (“Shark Tank” fame) called, ”Retire Like A Shark.” He has a Podcast called, “The Financial Fundamentals Show,” which educates and entertains retirees and pre-retirees about finance.

LICENSES. Mr. Tuckman practices what he preaches and invests in some of the same financial instruments that he recommends for his clients. He is licensed to sell real estate, insurance and securities. Tuckman has a passion for the industry and education is “baked in” to his firm’s process.

PERSONAL. Mr. Tuckman lives in Sherman Oaks with his wife, dog and twin children; a boy and a girl. He is a New York City transplant who has lived in Los Angeles for over 20 years. He is an active member in his congregation. He enjoys reading, food, travel, music, indie film and fitness.  He believes in giving back to the community and has volunteered for the ASPCA, Food on Foot and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Robyn Roth Bio

We have different comedians on the show to make financial learning fun. Robyn Roth was our first big guest on the podcast. She is an actress and comedian, known for American Pie (1999), You Are Here (2004) and Clown TV (1996).

Robyn Roth has lived in Los Angeles her whole life and has been singing, dancing and acting since childhood. She has a B.A. in theater from Calstate Northridge and has just completed her Masters in Dramatic Writing from University of Denver. She comes from an opera singing family and studied classical voice from a young age, which turned into a love for musicals. She also has many years of voice over, long, short, and musical improv comedy experience and enjoys making silly TikTok videos (@RobynTime). Her day job includes singing her face off as Disney characters Queen Iduna and Bulda in Frozen, Madame Leota, and most recently, The Queen of Hearts singing Everything’s Coming Up Roses
 
Robyn has years of classical voice training and comes from a family of opera singers. She has been a member of the improvisational troupe, Comedy Sportz, since she graduated from college and she performs regularly with them at the National Comedy Theater.
 
Currently, she is appearing in a live parody of the 80s TV show, “Fame,” called, “Stardom.” She has performed in many theatrical productions and favorite roles including, including Eva Peron in “Evita,” Nina in “The Seagull,” and Charity in “Sweet Charity.”Recently, she portrayed a drunk reality show housewife in the musical, “The Real Drunk Housewives of the San Fernando Valley,” and received rave reviews. She was one of the founding members of renowned Channel 101, monthly digital short festival. She still enjoys shooting and editing digital comedy shorts.
